GrainSpawn – Pack of 5

Mytopia Grain Spawn is comprised of hydrated and sterilised wheat, which is then colonised with the strain of your choice. A single 1.5kg Grain Spawn bag is capable of inoculate 8x of our test blocks, each weighing 4,5kg. Apart from shiitake (which takes longer to colonise), the Blue/Grey Oyster, King oyster, and King Pearl Oyster will colonise a test block in just 20 days with a 4% inocuation rate. All of our grain spawn cultures are regularly tested on an oak sawdust substrate in order keep them performing to the best of their ability.

Upon placing your order, please take note of a possible 3 weeks lead time. We may already have spawn in stock, in which case you can expect just 2-5 days processing time prior to dispatch.
